@jglbrt123 350 might be low enough to save us from extinction though. And more importantly, if we can actually get the world to move toward 350, then we could always take it further. I'd be amazed if we could ever even halt it, I see it going past 400 and 450 and no one will care until it's far too late. :(

Well, this was very nice and gives me a small amount of hope. But trying to argue why this is so important is such a horrible slap in the face, when most of the people you talk to either don't care, or think it's all nonsense or a conspiracy.
I believe the only way to get the change necessary to save the human race is to convince even the hard-line skeptics. I don't see how to do that.
